Dr. Ashley Reed is a 2014 graduate from Life University, in Marietta, GA, where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. Prior education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, with specific focus in anatomy and physiology. Since 2014 she has practiced in a CrossFit gym working with athletes and specializing in the biomechanics of the body and balancing the musculoskeletal system. In May 2017, she accepted a chiropractic position at Dr. Chris Natural Remedies. While working there she worked along side naturopathic doctors and certified in advanced nutritional assessment. Now she is excited to be part of the Back to Balance family.
Dr. Reed’s initial love for chiropractic came from personal experience of dealing with digestive issues. She was constantly in doctor’s offices, hospitals, and on a new medication weekly with no answers or relief. At 16 years old, she saw her first chiropractor and within 2 months had relief of symptoms and was medication free. She was finally able to return to school, and her life.
Her chiropractic belief stems from “The Power that made the body, heals the body”. The nervous system controls and coordinates every function of the human body. This is the system that allows you to adapt and live in your environment. Therefore, any interface can have a broad effect on the function of the body. When we remove interference, eliminating the cause and not just the symptoms, the body has the ability to heal itself.
“While other professions are concerned with changing environment to suit the weakened body, chiropractic is concerned with strengthening the body, to suit the environment.”
