Insurance Patients
We have been chosen by many health insurance companies to represent their network. Because of this, often the deductibles are much lower than out-of-network doctors (or non-existent). Network doctors and the co-pays are much lower, as well! Please do not hesitate to contact us for any questions you may have.

For those receiving care under “Med Pay” coverage from an insurance claim, please be aware that making a claim against your policy will NOT increase your rates. Please find below some additional details about Georgia insurance claims provided by David H. Glass, Esq..
Personal injuries in Georgia are subject to a Two year statute of limitations (Georgia Code § 9-3-33). That means, a lawsuit must be filed before the two year anniversary of an incident that caused injuries to a person in Georgia. If no suit is filed, the action is barred and no recovery can be made.
There are very limited exceptions to the statute of limitations, but it is better to error on the side of caution and file suit well before the two year anniversary.
Some people worry that using their Medical Payment coverage will raise their rates. Georgia law prohibits an insurance company from raising your premiums for using Medical Payment coverage. Therefore, use of Med Pay should not increase your rates and should not cause your insurance company to drop you.
If your insurance company were to raise your rates or to drop you, I would urge you to contact another insurance company. They would then research the accident. They would see it was a No-Fault collision through no fault of your own, and they would not hold it against you.
Additionally, I would not want to do business with a company that raised my rates for something that wasn’t my fault in violation of Georgia law. For that reason alone, I would want to change insurance companies, because it’s probably a signal that if you’re in a collision and you need their help on your own policy, they’re not going to treat you fairly.
I provide free consultations to answer any questions or concerns that people have with the process of dealing fairly with insurance companies. Most personal injury attorneys will provide those consultations free of charge.
Regardless of who you call, I strongly encourage injured persons to seek free counsel before ever speaking with an insurance company. Remember, insurance companies are not in the business of paying out money. They will try to do everything to keep money in their pockets.
Best,
David H. Glass, Esq.
